GROWING OUR NETWORK
We will identify individuals and organizations that are working on popular transportation (researchers, consultants, advocates, companies, agencies, and institutions) and recruit them to join our network
We will map stakeholders, leaders, and potential partners in the field
We will help to build and participate in communities of practice around popular transportation (e.g., data advocates such as Digital Transport for Africa)
PRESENTING, SPEAKING, AND PARTICIPATING IN KEY EVENTS
We will be present at significant events and global discussions of transportation as it relates to climate change and equity (for example, COP, ITS, UITP, Transforming Transportation, etc.)
We will champion popular transportation in these discussions. Our presentations will advocate for asset-based approaches. We will present the latest insights and research.
CONVENING MEETINGS AND ORGANIZING EVENTS
We will foster global conversations about popular transportation by convening our network and convening related groups and individuals, including the people who operate, own, and invest in popular transportation
We will foster collaboration in the network and across sectors that are involved with popular transportation
DISSEMINATING KNOWLEDGE AND CONDUCTING RESEARCH
We will maintain a regular publication that provides a global summary of key research and activities in popular transportation. We will pay particular attention to research and knowledge focused on
social and economic aspects and contributions of popular transportation to Global South economies and communities
Digital technology and its implications
Innovations in policy and governance that integrates popular transportation
We write opinion pieces, case studies, and other articles for publication
We will conduct our own (when there is available funding and support) and participate in collaboratory research initiatives.
PROVIDING ADVISORY AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT
We provide advisory and technical support services, either directly or through the members of our network, to organizations and communities that are undertaking projects that are aligned with our goals, especially with empowering popular transportation.
