The Leapfrogging Partnership

The Global Network for Popular Transportation, with the support of Climate Works’ Leapfrogging Partnership, is looking to equip change leaders and strengthen their capacity to work together in shifting local and national electrification policies and plans to be inclusive of popular transportation.

To do this, we are looking to develop country-level baseline studies to better understand the current situation of popular transportation (including 2Ws, 3Ws, minibuses or other vehicles used for this purpose) and electrification, to identify champions, key stakeholders, emerging policy and opportunities to incorporate popular transport into electrification policy and planning in the following Leapfrogging countries:

  • Kenya

  • South Africa

  • Indonesia

  • Vietnam

  • Thailand

  • Chile

  • Colombia

  • Mexico

  • Brazil
